Drift Event

A temporary booth was designed for a small-scale charity event held in a vacant lot near my home, organized together with close friends. Departing from the typical DJ-centered stage setup, the focus was shifted to the music and visuals themselves as the main experience. The booth featured projection mapping graphics created in collaboration with graphic designers, visually interpreting the fragmented and reconstructed rhythm of techno music. For the structure, lightweight and reusable pipes were used to allow quick assembly and disassembly, reflecting the temporary nature of the installation. Instead of traditional surfaces, painter’s plastic sheeting was draped over the frame to serve as a translucent canvas, onto which visuals were projected. This setup allowed the audience to experience the DJ as a silhouette within the graphic environment, blurring the boundary between performer and visual space.
